Kefka, a male humanoid figure, held the position of leader within one of the Five Families of Cestus Cybernetics during the era of the Clone Wars. Possessing a towering and wide frame, his skin was notably pale. While his appearance suggested a blend of human lineage with a subtle hint of Kiffar heritage, this was never explicitly confirmed. Kefka oversaw the production of droids at Cestus Cybernetics, notably the JK-13 security droid. In the year 22 BBY, the Families of Cestus Cybernetics engaged in a plot to depose Regent G'Mai Duris from her leadership role on Ord Cestus, aiming to install a more easily controlled figure in her place. Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, along with Vippit barrister Doolb Snoil, advised the Regent to exercise caution in trusting the Families, yet they were unsuccessful in achieving a peaceful resolution.
Following the unsuccessful diplomatic efforts, the supercruiser named Nexu launched a bombing attack on the bunker sheltering Kefka and numerous members of the Five Families, amidst ongoing assaults from the revolutionary faction known as Desert Wind. The devastating event resulted in the deaths of many leaders from the Five Families. The surviving members subsequently reached an agreement with Regent Duris and the Galactic Republic, leading to Regent Duris regaining authority over Ord Cestus.
