Kesh capitol building
This government center was situated within the city of Tahv, which served as the planet's capital, known as Kesh.
This structure, capped with a large glass dome, stood prominently in the center of the Circle Eternal, a complex of structures, which was once a large public square in Tahv. The interior was characterized by dim lighting, stone-paved floors, and a fountain with flowing water. The building's height spanned multiple levels, incorporating the Circle Chambers on the upper floors, accessible via a spiraling stairway.
The construction of the Kesh capitol building was initiated in 4975 BBY by Yaru Korsin, the Tribe's initial founder and Grand Lord. This construction commemorated the Tribe's quarter-century anniversary of their arrival on Kesh. Before this, the Tribe had made their home on a mountainside Sith Temple erected above the Sith starship Omen within the Takara Mountains. Following Yaru Korsin's passing that same year, his daughter Nida Korsin commanded the Tribe's relocation to Tahv, designating the capitol building as the Grand Lord's official residence. The building also served as the repository for the Tribe's historical records and the office of the Caretaker, responsible for safeguarding the Tribe's historical documents and maintaining timekeeping.
During the Time of the Rot, a lengthy period of instability and internal conflict spanning 960 years following the death of Grand Lord Lillia Venn during the Night of the Upside-Down Meteor in 3960 BBY, the capitol building deteriorated into ruins. By 3000 BBY, only the Caretaker's office, housing the Tribe's archives and a Sandpipe for measuring time, remained intact. The building's expansive atrium also functioned as the assembly point for leaders of various Sith factions on Testament Day, when the Testament of Yaru Korsin was recited to the Tribe. During the Great Crisis, Sith insurgents plundered the archives, resulting in the destruction of numerous historical scrolls and the Sandpipe.
Under the Hilts Restoration, Grand Lord Varner Hilts supervised the capitol building's reconstruction to its original splendor. It once again became the official dwelling of the Grand Lord and his family. In 2975 BBY, Jogan Halder, an Alanciari hostage, was welcomed into the capitol building as a guest of the Sith. As a deception to persuade Halder of the Sith's benevolent Protector role, his Keshiri guides misled him by stating that the Sith perpetually resided in the capitol building, engaged in peaceful meditation. He was also granted an audience with the Circle of Lords, who convened within the building.
Following a failed assassination attempt on Grand Lord Hilts in 2974 BBY, Parlan Spinner, a Sith anarchist, was escorted into Hilts' study within the capitol building. There, Hilts opted to spare Spinner's life, assigning the young man to serve as a sailor aboard the Alanciari sailing vessel Southern Star. During the Siege of Tahv that same year, portions of the Kesh capitol building sustained damage from the Leviathans commanded by the Sith Lord Remulus Dreypa. However, these were subsequently destroyed by Spinner's Jedi starship. Following Dreypa's defeat, both the capitol building and the rest of Tahv underwent reconstruction.
