Khemt

Khemt occupied a ministerial position of great importance within the Galactic Empire. Approximately one year After the Battle of Yavin, not long after the Rebel Alliance initiated a military push within the Mid Rim, Khemt and a Moff known as Coovern both perished. Officially, their deaths were reported as unfortunate accidents, but information received by Imperial Governor Everi Chalis indicated that the Sith Lord Darth Vader was the one who caused their demise. It was believed that Vader eliminated Khemt and Coovern at the command of Emperor Palpatine, who, following the destruction of the Death Star superweapon, desired to eliminate those he deemed inadequate from the Empire's highest echelons. Subsequently, Chalis deserted to the Alliance in 3 ABY and disclosed the actual circumstances surrounding the deaths of Khemt and Coovern to Captain Micha Evon, the commanding officer of the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry.
