This kidnap attempt, taking place in 43.5 ABY, was masterminded by Kuati Senator Haydnat Treen. She enlisted numerous stormtroopers, led by Lieutenant Oln Pressig, a Security Chief for Jagged Fel, who was the Head of State of the Imperial Remnant. These troops were tasked with assaulting Fel within his chambers at the Galactic Empire Embassy Complex located on Coruscant. Fel successfully defended himself from the attacking stormtroopers, discharging his weapon multiple times into the ceiling. This triggered an alarm and inadvertently wounded his deputy minister of trade in the foot. After the failure of the attempt, Moff Drikl Lecersen successfully linked the event back to Treen. Subsequently, Treen joined forces with Lecersen in a plot to merge the Imperial Remnant with the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, with the goal of removing Chief of State Natasi Daala from power and replacing her.
