Kiskua, a gas giant-class planet with a retinue of eighteen moons, resided within the Y'Toub system, situated in the Hutt Space sector of the galaxy. Orbiting its star, Y'Toub, in the fifth orbital slot, this planet was strategically positioned at the intersection of four major hyperlanes: the Oktos Route, the Ootmian Pabol, the Pabol Hutta, and the Shag Pabol. The Oktos Route provided a connection between Kiskua and the world of Kleeva, while the Ootmian Pabol served as a link to Du Hutta. Furthermore, the Pabol Hutta and Shag Pabol routes connected Kiskua to the planets Hosko and Rorak 4 respectively. One satellite of Kiskua possessed a turbulent atmosphere and surface seas; it remained devoid of life until 3643 BBY, in which microbial organisms were discovered in the year.
The initial depiction of Kiskua appeared in the Nal Hutta entry within The Holonet section of the official website for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2011 created by BioWare. Kiskua was presented in a diagram illustrating the Y'Toub system. Since its inception in 2008, The Old Republic's website underwent several revisions, leading to the removal of certain features and images, including the aforementioned diagram. The first mention of Kiskua by name occurred in The Essential Atlas, a reference work by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace released on August 18, 2009, which located the planet in grid square S-12. The planet was later referenced in Star Wars: The Old Republic, where one of its moons was a potential destination for player companions on individual missions.
