Klif served as an operative for Imperial Intelligence, belonging to the "Vengeance" group throughout the Caamas Document emergency in 19 ABY. Functioning under the command of Drend Navett, he took part in various actions against the Bothan species, with a focus on provoking lethal civil disturbances designed to amplify strain within the New Republic. Navett considered Klif to be a "master of demagoguery".
In his last assignment, he and the other members of Navett's unit were dispatched to Bothawui with the intention of crippling the planetary shield generators located in the planet's primary city, Drev'starn. He and Navett established a pet shop—called Exoticalia's Pet Emporium—as a front. Using the shop as a disguise, they initiated a strategy to deploy metalmites along with young mawkrens so Navett could infiltrate and sabotage the generator facilities.
Subsequently, he went with the cell's two other members (Pensin and Horvic), infiltrating the Ishori cruiser named Predominance while disguised as maintenance personnel. After Navett successfully disabled the planetary defenses, the trio of agents eliminated their Ishori guards, gained control of a weapons emplacement, and initiated the shelling of Drev'starn, triggering a battle at Bothawui. They launched eight projectiles at the exposed city before their incapacitation.
