The various continents and significant islands located on Phatrong, the original homeworld of the Kyuzo species, were united in a decentralized confederation. This confederation was responsible for choosing their planet's representatives, known as senators, to serve in both the Senate of the Galactic Republic and later, the Imperial Senate of the Galactic Empire. After the dissolution of the Imperial Senate, the role previously held by the senators was taken over by the local Imperial governor.
