The Lava Leviathan was a ship under the ownership of the Ore-duke Baron Rubix's family, situated on the planet of Shu-Torun. As the War on Shu-Torun raged, the baron dispatched the vessel to assault the Ancestral Retreat belonging to the Shu-Torun royal family. His intention was to eliminate Queen Trios, who was aligned with the Galactic Empire and was strategizing with her allies at the retreat. The ship surfaced from the magma encircling the retreat and commenced firing upon the vulnerable structure. This prompted Trios to attempt an escape via a shuttle. Subsequently, the Sith Lord Darth Vader, accompanied by his Imperial comrades Morit Astarte and Aiolin Astarte, joined her on the shuttle, but they instead used it to infiltrate the leviathan. Wielding lightsabers, the three warriors breached the leviathan's exterior and battled their way through the crew to reach both extremities of the ship. Once there, they created substantial openings, enabling magma to engulf the vessel. Following this, they withdrew in the shuttle, consigning the leviathan to its demise as it submerged into the magma.
