Aiolin Astarte

Aiolin Astarte, a human female, was created through engineering and rigorous training under Doctor Cylo's guidance. Her purpose was to supplant Darth Vader, the Sith Lord, as the Sith apprentice of Darth Sidious.

Born from the Astarte line of Celanon, Aiolin and her twin sibling Morit Astarte hailed from a family that supported the Separatist cause. The Astarte lineage provided significant financial backing for Cylo's initial endeavors. Cylo regarded them as "generally intelligent" and possessing a "future-oriented" mindset. Driven by fears of reprisal for their allegiance during the Clone Wars, the Astartes entrusted their offspring to Cylo for experimentation and instruction, hoping to atone for their past actions. She is also equipped with a green lightsaber.

Biography

Early life

Aiolin Astarte's birth, along with that of her sibling Morit, occurred within the Astarte family of Celanon, either before or during the period of the Clone Wars. During this era, her family provided monetary support to Doctor Cylo's research, a cybernetics expert whose experiments were deemed unethical and unlawful by the Galactic Republic. Aligning themselves with the Separatists during the conflict, the Astartes, fearing retribution from the newly established Galactic Empire, surrendered their two children into Cylo's care.

With the endorsement of the newly appointed Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine, Cylo persisted in his scientific investigations, incorporating Aiolin and Morit into his experimental procedures. He augmented them with cutting-edge genetic modifications and technology, enhancing their strength and enabling them to achieve feats beyond the capabilities of ordinary combatants. One such enhancement was the ability to infiltrate technological systems with ease. Cylo asserted that this not only compensated for their deficiency in Force sensitivity but also negated any reliance on the Force. He also gave the twins advanced training in lightsaber combat. Combined with their technological enhancements, including foot-mounted rockets and wrist-mounted missile launchers, this transformed the Astarte twins into warriors whose skills rivaled those of the ancient Jedi and Sith.

The arrival of Vader

A few weeks after the Battle of Yavin, Darth Vader, a Sith Lord, became aware of her and her brother's existence. This occurred after he apprehended and eliminated Cylo, having learned of the doctor's existence from the Emperor, Darth Sidious. She, alongside her brother Morit, was dispatched to Sho-Torun to assist Darth Vader in suppressing the Ore-Baron uprising against Queen Trios. During the subsequent skirmish on Sho-Torun, she sought Vader as a mentor, aspiring to learn the ways of the Jedi. She hoped Vader would train her to improve her lightsaber skills. Vader swiftly rejected this, asserting that his teachings would be futile and that she and her brother were deluded, lacking any prospects.

As the revolt at the Sho-Torun war neared its conclusion, she and her brother Morit launched a surprise attack on Vader, aiming to eliminate a rival in their pursuit of becoming the Emperor's right-hand. However, Vader successfully repelled them, and Aiolin confessed to her brother that she doubted their ability to defeat Vader. Morit, undeterred, remained determined to eliminate a competitor. In a sudden act of treachery, he pushed Aiolin off a cliff, causing her to plunge into a pit of molten lava.

Before succumbing to her excruciating injuries, Vader used the Force to lift her from the lava. In a rare display of apparent empathy, he reassured her that the pain would soon subside, but requested that she divulge all her knowledge. The severely burned woman revealed that Cylo V had conspired with the Ore-Barons in the rebellion against Queen Trios and was plotting to betray Emperor Palpatine. Aiolin then expressed her gratitude to Vader for ending her suffering, seemingly understanding the true implications: Vader used his lightsaber to kill her, swiftly ending her agony.

Personality and traits

Aiolin, a Human female, possessed long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a fair complexion. She received enhancements, including rockets in her heels, enabling her to move at speeds comparable to a Jedi.

Confident in her enhancements and abilities as a product of Cylo's experiments, Aiolin admired the skills of the Jedi and envisioned herself as a perpetuator of their martial heritage. She sought lightsaber training from Darth Vader to enhance her skills and ingratiate herself with the Dark Lord. She displayed ruthlessness in her stated intention to betray her brother and her attempted surprise attack on Vader.
