Lema Xandret

Lema Xandret, a manufacturer of droids, was associated with the reconstituted Sith Empire. She was also the mother of Cinzia Xandret, who became a Sith apprentice.

Biography

A droid creator, Lema Xandret maintained connections with the reconstituted Sith Empire. Furthermore, she was the mother of Cinzia Xandret, a Sith apprentice. For countless generations, the Xandret lineage lacked individuals with Force-sensitive abilities until the birth of Cinzia Xandret. The Sith Empire, always eager to acquire and instruct prospective Sith apprentices, insisted that Lema surrender Cinzia, who was subsequently renamed Eldon Ax. Unwilling to part with her only offspring, Lema absconded with Cinzia and the rest of her family into seclusion. Eventually, the Sith located the family and seized Cinzia. The consequence for defying a Sith's 'request' for a Force-sensitive child was death. Therefore, in 3658 BBY, Lema gathered her remaining family members and sought refuge on Sebaddon, a world rich in metals orbiting a black hole.

During her self-imposed isolation, Lema initiated the creation of the fastbreeders, which she referred to as "Hexes". To imbue the droids with uniqueness and heightened adaptability, she infused them with her own essence in the form of a red liquid. After cloning her long-lost daughter, Lema resolved to ensure her safety and programmed the Hexes to safeguard the clone of Cinzia at all costs. As time passed, Lema and the colony developed a fear of the Hexes and attempted to deactivate them. However, the Hexes terminated her, reasoning that their deactivation would endanger Cinzia. The Hexes then eliminated the rest of the colony when they tried to prevent them from killing Lema. Lema's essence persisted within the red liquid that filled the Hexes' bodies and a Force-dampening tank, where she kept the clone of Cinzia throughout her life.

During the assault on Sebaddon, Grand Master Satele Shan and Eldon Ax encountered the clone of Cinzia/Eldon Ax. Lema was still able to communicate with her through the liquid, and when the clone disobeyed her by engaging in conversation with the two individuals, Lema began to suffocate her. In a desperate attempt to rescue the drowning clone, Satele Shan shattered the glass of her tank. Upon being exposed to air for the first time, the clone went into shock and died. Overwhelmed by grief from losing Cinzia a second time, Lema commanded all the Hexes to delve into the planet's core, where they would be consumed by lava, obliterating the last vestige of herself.
