Lilly's background is that of a female Near-Human Jedi learner, specifically a Padawan. While she possessed pointed ears and a canine-like nose, her physical appearance was largely similar to that of a Human. She entered the Jedi academy as a transfer during Roan Novachez's third year. Despite her status as a newcomer, she quickly demonstrated a high level of skill in using the Force. On her initial day, she was tasked with making a sandwich with Cronah's assistance, and she impressively created a virtual whirlwind that seamlessly combined all the condiments, including the sauce. This feat astonished everyone present, with the exception of Cronah himself. Shortly after, she achieved victory in a lightsaber fencing match against Cyrus, a student known for his accomplishments. However, she displayed kindness and empathy when the instructor, Mr. Garfield, used her win as an opportunity to point out Novachez's need for further training to match Lilly's abilities. She later comforted Novachez, apologizing and explaining that she was simply striving to perform her best. Lilly adhered to a vegetarian diet, completely refraining from consuming any meat products. She expressed a desire to enhance her lightsaber fencing skills but was uncertain about the possibility of pursuing it in detail, as Cyrus had already selected it as his specialized area of study for the academic year. Similar to Novachez and his companion, Gaiana, she disapproved of the bullying behavior exhibited by Cyrus and Cronah. On one occasion, while walking with Novachez and Gaiana, who was carrying the class pet, a voorpak named Voorpee, Cronah mocked Novachez by referring to him as Gaiana's "OTHER pet." This prompted Lilly to question Cyrus about the reasons behind his friend's unkindness. Gaiana experienced feelings of insecurity around Lilly, perceiving her as being "good at everything," and felt awkward when Roan instructed Lilly on how to ride shaaks. Roan reassured her that his intention was simply to be helpful, which provided Gaiana with comfort. Soon after, Lilly began a relationship with Cyrus. In the Obstacle Course Trial, she participated alongside Cyrus, Jo-Ahn, and Silva, ultimately securing first place.
Before her transfer to Coruscant for reasons that remain unknown, Lilly attended an academy situated on Ossus. On her first day, she was tasked with making a sandwich with Cronah's help, and she impressively created a virtual whirlwind that seamlessly combined all the condiments, including the sauce. This demonstration of Force power amazed everyone present, with the exception of Cronah himself, who criticized her for missing a condiment. Shortly after, she achieved victory in a lightsaber fencing match against Cyrus, a student known for his accomplishments. However, when the class instructor, Mr. Garfield, used her win as an opportunity to point out Novachez's need for further training to match Lilly's abilities, she comforted Novachez, apologizing and explaining that she was simply striving to perform her best. Roan clarified that Mr. Garfield consistently behaved in that manner. Lilly soon revealed that she followed a vegetarian diet, completely abstaining from consuming any meat products. She expressed a desire to enhance her lightsaber fencing skills at the academy but was uncertain about the possibility of pursuing it in detail after learning via Facebook that Cyrus had already selected it as his specialized area of study for the academic year. In the Obstacle Course Trial, she participated alongside Cyrus, Jo-Ahn, and Silva, ultimately securing first place. (Roan's team came in second, and Cronah's came in third.) Lilly also completed the Labyrinth Trial successfully, and joined Roan during the end-of-school celebration.

Lilly's initial appearance occurred in the 2015 Star Wars Legends novel titled Jedi Academy: The Phantom Bully, authored by Jeffrey Brown. Despite being depicted in black and white, like the other characters within the book, she was portrayed in color on the back cover, alongside a selection of other characters.
