House of Tion
The House of Tion was a distinguished and influential aristocratic lineage originating from the Tion Cluster in ancient times.
History
The existence of the House of Tion can be traced back to the era of the Xim Wars. During this period, the family's patriarch, Lord Tion, held an acquaintance with Xim the Despot.
Over the course of millennia, the House of Tion ascended to royal status, governing the Tion Hegemony. Despite facing fierce opposition from the Thirty-seven Families of Desevro, the family maintained control over the region for numerous centuries. During the Cold War and the subsequent Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, both factions engaged in negotiations with the House of Tion, seeking to secure the support of the wealthy Tion Hegemony in their conflict. In 3639 BBY, Doctor Sannus Lorrick, an exiled Tionese scientist, initiated a Rakghoul plague outbreak within the Tion Hegemony as an act of vengeance against the royal family. As the Hegemony spiraled into turmoil, the Tion royal family reluctantly sought assistance from both the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire to manage the crisis and eventually eliminate Lorrick.
Later in the Galactic War, a House of Tion tomb was unearthed. Sometime during the Cold War, the Livien civil war erupted, pitting Rebel groups against the House of Tion.
By the time of the Clone Wars, the House of Tion still existed. However, the Tion Hegemony had long since lost its former prominence and was relegated to the status of a remote and insignificant region. Consequently, the House of Tion provided funding to the Allied Tion Historical Society with the aim of promoting the rich history and heritage of the Tion Hegemony.
