This orb was employed in 19 BBY by adherents of the Frangawl Cult to extract the Living Force from captured individuals of the Dagoyan Order located on the world of Bardotta. Subsequently, Nightsister Mother Talzin endeavored to harness both the Bardottan Sphere and the imprisoned Queen Julia within a ceremony conducted on Zardossa Stix with the intention of amplifying her Force powers. Jedi Master Mace Windu and Gungan Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks successfully intervened, foiling the plans of Talzin and the Frangawl Cult.

In the time of the Imperial Era, Zaaryn, an Imperial officer, attempted to broker a deal with Maul, Talzin's offspring and a former Sith Lord, offering data pertaining to the sphere.
