Queen Julia was a Bardottan woman, a Force-sensitive individual, and the reigning monarch of the planet Bardotta. As a member of the Dagoyan Order, she counted Jar Jar Binks, the Junior Representative from Naboo in the Republic Senate, among her most trusted confidants. During the Clone Wars, she was abducted by the Frangawl Cult.
The Dagoyan Order governed the spiritually significant world of Bardotta, maintaining neutrality throughout the Clone Wars. However, facing a threat to her planet from an age-old prediction, Queen Julia sought assistance from the Galactic Republic, specifically requesting the aid of Jar Jar Binks, the Gungan representative. Julia, like her fellow Dagoyans, harbored a deep distrust of the Jedi Order, stemming from a past incident where the Jedi were perceived as abductors for initiating Force-sensitive Bardottan younglings into their ranks. Despite Julia's request for Binks to arrive alone, Mace Windu, a Jedi Master, accompanied the representative on his mission.
When alone with Binks, Julia shared a kiss with him. She revealed that the Dagoyan Masters were vanishing, victims of kidnapping by the Frangawl Cult. Shortly after Jar Jar left Julia to confer with Mace, the cult abducted her. A comlink message from one of the guards alerted Mace and Jar Jar to the situation. The Bardottan guard explained that Julia believed the cult had a shrine hidden beneath one of the temples. This sanctuary once housed Malmourral, a demon revered by the Frangawl.
Upon entering the catacombs, Jar Jar himself was captured by a cult member. However, Mace was able to track the Gungan's movements through his comlink. Julia was indeed being held captive, and despite their efforts, neither Mace nor Jar Jar could rescue her, forced to witness the cult leader whisk the Queen away to Zardossa Stix, a moon orbiting Bardotta.
Windu and Binks pursued Julia and her captors across the desert of Zardossa Stix. At the summit of a pyramid-like structure, Julia was positioned for sacrifice to the Great Mother, the Nightsister Talzin, who intended to merge Julia's life force with a magical sphere containing the stolen essence of the Dagoyan Masters.
Julia watched as Mace and Jar Jar battled the Stone guardians and cultists, striving to reach her. As Mother Talzin and Windu engaged in a duel, Jar Jar attempted to rescue Julia, only to find himself in her place, about to be sacrificed. Julia, however, intervened, pushing Jar Jar aside and causing the cult leader to become the victim. The magical sphere shattered, unleashing a powerful explosion. Julia, Jar Jar, and Mace sought cover, but the blast annihilated the cultists and transformed Talzin into green smoke.
Julia expressed her gratitude to Jar Jar Binks from her balcony, acknowledging that Mace Windu's actions had convinced her that the Jedi Order and the Bardottans could forge a new relationship. She then kissed him again with passion.
Julia was a Bardottan female standing at 2.3 meters (approximately 7 feet, 7 inches) in height, characterized by red hair, blue eyes, and yellow skin. The queen's worries began when Bardotta was threatened by an ancient prophecy. The mysterious disappearances of the Dagoyan Masters heightened Julia's concerns, prompting her to contact the Galactic Republic and specifically request the assistance of her longtime friend, Representative Jar Jar Binks, insisting on his solo arrival. She was angered when Binks arrived accompanied by Jedi Master Mace Windu, expressing her displeasure at a Jedi's presence on Bardotta and demanding that Windu remain detached from the investigation of the missing Dagoyan Masters. She even reprimanded Windu for bypassing her guards and intruding on her private conversation with Binks in her meditation chamber.
Julia made her debut in "The Disappeared, Part I," the eighth episode of the sixth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Ami Shukla provided her voice.
