Loreth, situated within the Loreth system of the Galactic Frontier, was a planet of the terrestrial type. During the High Republic Era, Layton Wyke established a settlement there named Wyke Town. A local beast, a Gretalax, whose lair was located on the mountain known as Temple Peak, started to threaten the inhabitants, prompting them to seek assistance from Ty Yorrick, a hunter of monsters.
