As shown in the image, Meedro contemplated persuading a lucksprite to accompany him and Asha Fahn as they swam across Endless Lake.
An entity known as a lucksprite, located on the Forest Moon of Endor in the Outer Rim, possessed swimming capabilities and was regarded by the Ewok warrior Meedro as a bringer of good fortune. During 4 ABY, Meedro, along with the Ewok Asha Fahn, were in search of a method to traverse Endless Lake to liberate the Ewok Wicket Wystri Warrick, who had been captured by a contingent of Imperials. Considering the inherent difficulty in crossing the lake, Meedro proposed attempting to convince a lucksprite to swim alongside them; however, Fahn dismissed this idea, asserting that luck was for those unprepared and instead summoned a condor dragon to transport them over the lake.
The concept of a lucksprite was referenced within current Star Wars canon in the third issue of the 2024 comic series titled Star Wars: Ewoks. Steve Orlando authored the issue, which was published by Marvel Comics on December 18, 2024.
Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, lucksprites were regarded by Ewoks as sentient beings responsible for distributing positive or negative fates to inhabitants of the Forest Moon of Endor. Their initial appearance occurred in flashback sequences in "Just My Luck," which was the eighteenth episode of the second season of the Ewoks animated series, originally broadcast on November 22, 1986.
