Asha Fahn, also known by her moniker "Red Ghost," was a female Ewok hailing from the Bright Tree tribe located on the forest moon of Endor. She and Teebo were considered to be among the most skilled hunters serving Chief Chirpa. When Chirpa made the choice to support the Rebel Alliance in their conflict with the Galactic Empire, both Asha and Teebo voiced their agreement, effectively overriding the opposition of Logray, the tribe's shaman. The following morning, Asha, Chirpa, and Teebo spearheaded the Ewoks who were fit for battle into the depths of the forest, while the younger members and elders remained in the village. During the Ewok assault on the Empire's bunker, Asha took the lead of the tribe's most formidable warriors. She, along with her warriors, descended from the bunker's summit, where the huntress eliminated an Imperial officer with her blade before he could issue orders to his troops. Following the triumph in the Battle of Endor both on the planet's surface and in space, Asha participated in the celebratory festivities held at Bright Tree Village.
Asha Fahn was re-established within canon through the novel Return of the Jedi: Beware the Power of the Dark Side!, an adaptation of the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi authored by Tom Angleberger and released on September 22, 2015. The Ewok's visual depiction occurred later, debuting in the first issue of the comic book miniseries Star Wars: Ewoks, penned by Steve Orlando, with illustrations by Laura Braga and Álvaro López, and published by Marvel Comics on October 9, 2024.
Within the Legends continuity, the Ewok huntress was known solely as Asha and made her initial appearance in the thirteenth episode of the first season of the Ewoks animated television show. This episode was directed by Raymond Jafelice, scripted by Paul Dini, and broadcasted on November 30, 1985. Dini, in his role as the episode's writer, conceived Asha specifically for inclusion in the animated series.
