Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, a female Ewok, called Bright Tree Village home on the Forest Moon of Endor. As the daughter of Chirpa, the village chief, she was known as a princess. In 4 ABY, Kneesaa played a role in the Battle of Endor, assisting the Rebel Alliance as they fought against the Galactic Empire. Due to her courage and leadership, Kneesaa took over from her father, becoming the village's first female chief.
Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, an Ewok female warrior, hailed from the forest moon of Endor. She was the daughter of Chirpa, the chief of the Bright Tree Village tribe, and his wife Ra-Lee. She shared an adventurous childhood with her friends Wicket W. Warrick, Teebo, Paploo, Weechee, and Widdle Warrick.

By 4 ABY, the Galactic Empire had invaded Kneesaa's homeworld and constructed a shield generator complex to safeguard their new weapon, the second Death Star, which was under construction in Endor's orbit. Eventually, the Rebel Alliance dispatched a strike team to Endor to destroy the shield generator. The team befriended the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village and convinced them to join the fight, enabling the Rebel Fleet to destroy the station and eliminate Emperor Palpatine. During the Battle of Endor, Princess Kneesaa assisted rebel pathfinder Kes Dameron in coordinating tactical maneuvers. They remained together during the battle, communicating through vocal inflections and gestures. Instead of attending the victory celebration, Kneesaa and Dameron celebrated their success with sunberry wine.

Shortly after their victory, a large, predatory Gorax wandered into the Bright Tree tribe's territory. Distressed, Princess Kneesaa and Wicket sought assistance from Rebel heroes Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight and Commander, and his sister Leia Organa, a General and friend of Wicket, to reset the tribe's Gorax traps. These traps had been repurposed to disable Imperial All Terrain Scout Transports during the Battle of Endor. Upon arriving at the trap location, the group encountered the Gorax and scattered. As the creature cornered Skywalker and Organa, Kneesaa and her friend climbed a tree where a log trap was set up and called to Organa for help. Kneesaa threw the general her spear, which she used to cut a rope while Skywalker distracted the giant. Skywalker lured the Gorax in front of the trap and gave Organa his lightsaber. With the rope cut, the log swung into the predator, knocking it unconscious into a swamp. As Skywalker thanked Organa and retrieved his lightsaber, Princess Kneesaa and Wicket cheered, celebrating with a dance.

Following the Battle of Endor, Kneesaa and Tokkat befriended Chopper, an astromech droid belonging to Rebel general Hera Syndulla. The Ewoks tried to teach the droid how to use a spear. However, Syndulla interrupted the training to inform the droid that her starship, the Ghost, had detected Imperial TIE fighters heading for the village. Syndulla believed that only she and Chopper could handle the situation. However, the droid secretly brought Princess Kneesaa and Tokkat aboard. Despite the general's initial dissatisfaction, Kneesaa and the other Ewok effectively operated the ship's turrets, despite their small size. Having impressed Syndulla, Kneesaa and her friend chattered excitedly as the Ghost returned them home. Kneesaa later attended the wedding of Han Solo and Leia Organa.
Later, her father disappeared during a Dulok raid, which sparked an Ewok Civil War between supporters of Graak and Kneesaa over who should lead Bright Tree Village. Chirpa had been kidnapped by the Children of Vulgarr, a Dulok faction supported by Graak and his brother Gruekk. Graak falsely claimed that Chirpa had abandoned his people to seize control of the village. After Kneesaa and Logray requested assistance, senator Organa sent a New Republic diplomatic mission, consisting of Jaxxon T. Tumperakki and C-3PO, to resolve the conflict. Jaxxon uncovered the truth, freed Chirpa, and ended the usurpers' scheme.
Kneesaa's courage and leadership allowed her to succeed her father as chief of Bright Tree Village, becoming the tribe's first female chief.
Kneesaa first appeared in the non-canon video game Disney Infinity 3.0 in 2015. She was later introduced into canon in the 2015 reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know. Kneesa made her first canon appearance in the second season of the animated micro-series Star Wars Forces of Destiny, voiced by Shelby Young.
