Maize Raynshi was a hybrid born from a human father and a Mirialan mother, making her a half-human, half-Mirialan female. Her parents consisted of Vroc Raynshi, a human who served as a First Order officer, and Anaya Raynshi, a Mirialan woman. After her family's relocation from the planet CeSai to Merokia, she encountered Karr Nuq Sin, a Force-sensitive individual, as a result of receiving detention at her new school. Raynshi took on the role of a pilot for Sin, transporting him across the galaxy as he sought knowledge of the Force. Their travels led them to various planets, including Utapau, Jakku, Batuu, Kijimi, and Pam'ba.
