Marko Tyne, a Zygerrian operating during the time of the Galactic Civil War, was a perpetrator of illegal slavery. He practiced this in nine star systems within the Thesme sector sometime before the events of 0 ABY. As a result of these actions, Thesmian authorities sought his capture. Shortly following the Battle of Yavin, Tyne made an appearance at the Junction City cantina located on the planet called Feriae Junction. Beilert Valance, a bounty hunter, tracked him to this location and killed him with a blaster shot directly to his chest, which greatly surprised the cantina's occupants. Valance then collected the bounty placed on Tyne, and subsequently compelled two of the cantina's customers to remove the slaver's corpse from the premises.
Tyne, a brown-haired individual of the Zygerrian race, was involved in slavery, a practice deeply rooted in the traditions of his species. He possessed a blaster as a weapon.
Marko Tyne's initial appearance was in the Star Wars comic series, specifically in its twenty-seventh installment. This issue, penned by Archie Goodwin and visually rendered by Carmine Infantino, was published by Marvel Comics on June 26, 1979. Despite this established background, Tyne's appearance does not align with the later, officially recognized Legends depiction of Zygerrians, as he lacks the characteristic bony spurs on his face.
