As the leader of the Imperial Intelligence organization, the Minister of Intelligence represented the most prestigious rank attainable for a non-Sith individual within the Sith Empire. This individual oversaw the largest network of spies and intelligence operatives in the galaxy, acting under the guidance of the Sith Lords who comprised the Dark Council. Despite this oversight, the Minister maintained considerable independence, retaining complete command over their agency as long as it furthered the goals of the Sith.
Historically, the title of Minister of Intelligence was bestowed upon the agency's director. Throughout the ages, these ministers were renowned for their exceptional administrative capabilities in managing the vast bureaucracy.
During the era of the Cold War, a man held this office, functioning under the direction of Darth Jadus, a member of the Dark Council, and subsequently his offspring, Darth Zhorrid. The intelligence chief known as Keeper, who previously led the Operations Division under the Minister of Intelligence, eventually ascended to the ministerial role himself.
Following the Star Cabal incident and the subsequent disbandment of the organization in 3640 BBY, the position of Minister was eliminated. Instead, the newly formed Sith Intelligence reported directly to the Dark Council.
