The Mission to the Chaykin Cluster, a conflict divided into two distinct phases, occurred during the Clone Wars era (Legends). Operation Ghost Ship, the initial phase, focused on the retrieval of data cores from the Prosecutor. This operation saw the clone commandos of Delta Squad separating to accomplish their goals. The squad then had to regroup and push towards the ship's bridge after an attack by Trandoshan slavers. The second phase, Operation Vengeance, centered around eliminating the Trandoshan presence and defending the ship against a Separatist Lucrehulk-class Droid Control Ship.
Delta Squad's commandos received orders to investigate and recover the Prosecutor, an Acclamator-class assault ship recently discovered intact within the Chaykin Cluster. The commandos boarded the vessel at four separate entry points, each heading towards one of the ship's four data cores. Not long after entering, the commandos lost communication with their Advisor, yet they pressed on with their mission. Boss made his way to the Aft Data Core to obtain flight recorder data, Sev advanced to the Starboard Data Core for sensor logs, Fixer headed to the port data core to retrieve the weapon and vehicle inventory manifest, and Scorch proceeded to the Forward Data Core, presumably to acquire crew bio metric logs. Almost immediately, the commandos began experiencing system interference. The team soon lost contact with Scorch after a scavenger droid attacked and incapacitated him. Shortly after, Boss encountered one of the ship's troopers and could only watch as the trooper was attacked and killed by a scavenger droid. Within minutes, Boss himself was under attack by the droids, marking the first sign of intruders on the ship.
Boss soon realized that the threat extended beyond scavenger droids, as he witnessed several troopers falling victim to unknown attackers. Sev and Boss planned to meet at the Starboard Data Core, but before Boss could reach him, a Trandoshan slaver attacked and incapacitated Sev. The Trandoshan was part of a larger group that had boarded the ship with the intent of hijacking it.
With Sev and Scorch incapacitated, Boss and Fixer, the remaining active members of Delta Squad, independently made their way to the squad's initial rendezvous point. Boss secured sensor logs from the Starboard data core and flight recorder data from the Aft Data Core, engaging Trandoshan slavers, Elites, and the ship's automated defense turrets, which the Trandoshans had sliced. He also assisted surviving troopers along the way. Fixer and Boss reunited at the rendezvous point and together set out to locate and rescue Sev from the Trandoshans. After rescuing Sev, the commandos proceeded to the detention block to free Scorch. With the full unit reunited, Delta Squad advanced towards the bridge, battling Trandoshan, droid, and auto-turret resistance along the way. Upon reaching the bridge, the Deltas destroyed a jamming device deployed by the Trandoshans, restoring communication with their Advisor.
After an assessment of the ship, the Advisor discovered a Trandoshan dropship within Hangar A. He deduced that the Trandoshans intended to sell the ship to the Confederacy of Independent Systems in exchange for battle droids, and he ordered the Deltas to destroy the dropship and eliminate the Trandoshan threat. The Deltas fought their way back to the elevator and headed for the hangar. En route, the elevator, rigged with a Trandoshan trap, diverted them to an ambush in the detention area. Delta Squad fought through the ambush and eventually managed to repair the cell block's damaged systems, initiating a lockdown and flooding the area with poison gas, suffocating the Trandoshans within. After a dark joke about Trandoshan breath-holding capabilities, the Deltas proceeded to Hangar A, utilizing the Trandoshan's own rocket turrets to destroy their ship.
Almost immediately after the destruction of the Trandoshan ship, a CIS Droid Control Ship arrived to claim the Prosecutor. Recognizing the need for assistance, the Advisor sent a distress signal, which was answered by the Republic starship Arrestor. While the Arrestor was en route, the commandos received the task of sealing the Prosecutor's three remaining hangars and preventing CIS boarding attempts. Delta successfully sealed all three hangars, repelling the boarding parties. The final hangar was heavily fortified by droid forces, and Delta Squad employed an AT-TE walker to eliminate the remaining resistance within. In response, the CIS ship opened fire on the Prosecutor, intending to destroy it before reinforcements could arrive. In an effort to buy more time, Delta Squad fought their way to one of the Prosecutor's turbolaser turrets. As they worked to make it operational, the Arrestor arrived and engaged the CIS vessel. Droid forces assaulted the squad's position while the three command consoles were being sliced to enable firing on the CIS ship. Quickly, the commandos activated the turrets, adding their firepower to the Arrestor's and easily destroying the CIS vessel. With the CIS ship destroyed, the droids deactivated, and the Arrestor was able to assist in recovering the Prosecutor, bringing the conflict to a successful conclusion.
With the Trandoshan and CIS forces defeated, the Republic successfully recovered the Prosecutor. Although much of the crew had perished and the ship sustained significant damage, its recovery prevented the Republic's adversaries from acquiring critical intelligence about their ships. Furthermore, a substantial amount of intelligence was also obtained. The Prosecutor's security systems recorded the entire siege of the ship, and all subsequent events. This information would aid in preventing similar incidents in the future and would be particularly valuable to the Wookiees, who had long been engaged in conflict with Trandoshan slavers. Upon receiving the recordings, the Wookiees gained valuable insights into Trandoshan tactics, granting them a significant advantage and strengthening the bond between them and the Republic. Delta Squad received commendations from General Mace Windu for their actions.
Shortly after securing the ship, Delta Squad responded to a Red Zero distress signal from Omega Squad following a TIOPS mission that left them stranded in a scuttled freighter. Utilizing a captured Neimoidian shuttle found aboard the Prosecutor, they rescued their fellow commandos and the three terrorists they had captured.
