Momo

Second Lieutenant Momo served as an officer within the Imperial Army. During the Galactic Civil War, he was assigned to Jerec's battle group.

Biography

Throughout his military service, Momo attempted to get the nickname "Mad Dog Momo" to stick, but his fellow soldiers never adopted it.

In the year 5 ABY, Momo participated in the invasion of a specific planet as part of the ground forces. Following the disappearance of Patrol 341, which was under the command of Lieutenant Aagon, the young Dark Jedi named Yun was tasked with investigating the event. Momo was assigned as Yun's AT-ST pilot. He navigated the Scout vehicle through a ravine, taking them to the eastern edge of the patrol's designated area.

Momo reported that they found no evidence of the patrol, no wreckage, and no ozone traces indicative of a lightfight. He confirmed that they were at the correct coordinates, despite the absence of any sign that a patrol had ever been there. Yun then inquired if Momo knew about the Bouncers that Aagon would skin and keep as trophies in his corridor, which Momo confirmed he did, also stating that this area wasn't their hunting ground. Yun then deduced that the patrol had strayed from their assigned area to hunt Bouncers, and he instructed Momo to proceed to the flat, hard terrain to the north where the Bouncers could be found.

After some time, the team arrived at a rocky location, where a company of Stormtroopers disembarked from their AT-AT and spread out to conduct an inspection. Momo informed Yun that there were some ruins in the vicinity, but nothing unusual for the planet Ruusan. Momo watched, puzzled, as Yun muttered to himself, contemplating the presence of Rebels by using the Force. The infantrymen on the ground discovered a helmet marked with the tag RW957. Momo then tugged on Yun's pant leg, as Yun was positioned at the top hatch. Yun consulted his datapad to check the name associated with the tag, confirming that Kyle Katarn had attacked the team. Momo believed they had a chance to locate the Rebels, but Yun instead ordered them to set up camp for the night. Momo noted that there were still two hours of daylight remaining, but Yun remained firm in his decision, and Momo relayed the order to the other units.

Personality and traits

Momo was known for his amiable nature and youthful appearance. Unlike most Stormtroopers, he had never discharged his weapon in combat. Despite this, Momo aspired to cultivate a more intimidating persona, envisioning himself as "Mad Dog," a nickname that his comrades found unsuitable and rarely used.

Behind the scenes

Momo made his first appearance in the novella titled Dark Forces: Jedi Knight. In the audio dramatization of the same story, Momo is present in a dialogue scene, although his character is not explicitly named. James Cada and Tom Keith are both credited for providing the voices of different "Imperial Pilots."
