Murk

Murk existed as a celestial body within the Moddell sector, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, specifically at coordinates H-16 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This object was located along the Sanctuary Pipeline, a hyperspace route that provided a connection between Endor, a moon in the Moddell sector, and Sullust, a planet in the Sullust sector. A map depicting Murk's location within the Moddell sector was included in The Rebel Files, a compilation of non-electronic documents belonging to the Rebel Alliance.

Behind the scenes

The first mention of Murk in the new Star Wars canon occurred within the eighteenth issue of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon's, a magazine by De Agostini. This issue was released around May 6, 2015. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Murk system featured a red dwarf–type star and a planetoid, both of which shared the name "Murk." The initial appearance of both the star and the planetoid was in the article "Endor and the Moddell Sector," written by Craig Robert Carey, Daniel Wallace, and Jason Fry, and published in the ninth issue of the Star Wars Gamer magazine on February 22, 2002.
