Nano-spray paint was a specific type of spray paint that would vanish, by means of evaporation, within a few days following its application. A doctor named Ragon utilized this paint for pre-surgical markings on his patients. In the year 3 ABY, the bounty hunter known as Boba Fett employed nano-spray paint to color his armor black as a disguise to avoid identification.
This type of paint, nano-spray paint, was available in various colors and was characterized by its ability to evaporate within a few days. The criminal doctor Ragon used nano-spray paint within his Nar Shaddaa based clinic to mark patients before surgery.

During 3 ABY, Boba Fett, the bounty hunter, accepted a job from Ragon. As part of this arrangement, Ragon permitted Fett to use nano-spray paint to coat his armor in black. Fett then participated in a battle within the Garkata Fighting Arena, facing numerous combatants, including Wyrmen Lictor, a warrior of high value to the Kanji Hutts and whom Ragon tasked him to kill. Due to the Kanji Hutts' influence, Fett used the paint to conceal his identity and prevent conflicts with them. After defeating all his adversaries, Fett departed the arena, and by the time he returned to Ragon's clinic, the paint had completely disappeared from his armor.
Subsequently, a hologram displaying Fett's armor in black was shown on Nar Shaddaa. The Jedi Luke Skywalker saw it and was able to identify the bounty hunter, even with the paint.
Nano-spray paint made its debut appearance in War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha 1, a one-shot comic released by Marvel Comics on May 5, 2021. Charles Soule wrote the comic, while Steve McNiven and Laura Martin provided the illustrations. A post on StarWars.com, published on April 9 of that year, featured McNiven's page breakdowns and sketches of the comic, serving as an early preview.
