Ragon

Ragon, a Besalisk physician, shared a history with the notorious bounty hunter, Boba Fett. In the year 3 ABY, Ragon was stationed on Nar Shaddaa, where he lent his expertise to Fett in securing Han Solo within a carbonite encasement. Ragon's compensation for this assistance was a request for Fett to eliminate Wyrmen Lictor, a formidable warrior valued by the Kanji Hutts, who participated in the Garkata Fighting Arena. The bounty hunter entered the arena's battles, and Ragon, having completed the stabilization of the carbonite matrix, met his death at the hands of members of the Crimson Dawn, a criminal organization that subsequently absconded with the matrix.

Biography

Ragon was a criminal doctor operating on the smuggling moon known as Nar Shaddaa. By the time 3 ABY arrived, Ragon sponsored a fighter who competed in the Garkata Fighting Arena. However, Wyrmen Lictor, a warrior held in high regard by the Kanji Hutts, killed Ragon's fighter, causing him to lose a significant amount of credits. During his time as a doctor, he crossed paths with the fearsome bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Boba Fett

In the year 3 ABY, Fett was in the process of transporting the rebel captain Han Solo, who had been previously frozen in carbonite, to Jabba the Hutt. While communicating with Jabba's majordomo, Bib Fortuna, Fett noticed that the carbonite encasing Solo was becoming unstable, leading him to land on Nar Shaddaa to seek Ragon's assistance. The doctor assured Fett that he could stabilize Solo, but demanded payment upfront. Fett countered, promising to pay Ragon double upon delivery of Solo, but Ragon insisted that he did not work on credit. Since Fett lacked the necessary credits for immediate payment, Ragon proposed that he would save Solo if Fett killed Lictor. The doctor stated that Lictor was protected by "about a thousand" Kanji, and the only way to eliminate her was to participate in the Garkata Fighting Arena. Fett, however, believed his armor was too easily recognizable, so Ragon provided him with nano-spray paint to paint his armor black, allowing him to enter the fights under a concealed identity.

Death and legacy

Fett participated in the fights, and Ragon repaired the carbonite matrix, stabilizing Solo. Later, he visited a cantina, where he sat beside a Zabrak and shared a story with others about someone mistaking his sister for a Trandoshan, eliciting laughter. When the bounty hunter Deva Lompop arrived at the cantina, she sat next to the doctor, and he told her about how he fixed the carbonite matrix and saved Solo. Upon receiving this information, Lompop drugged Ragon but did not kill him. She later communicated to the Crimson Dawn, a criminal syndicate, the position of the carbonite matrix.

After winning the fights and killing Lictor, Fett was heading back to Doc Ragon's clinic when several members of the Crimson Dawn broke into the clinic, fatally shot Ragon, and stole Solo's frozen body. Upon discovering Ragon's corpse, Fett prepared to pursue the thieves in order to recover Solo. Fett went to a bar to find hints about who stole his bounty, and he mentioned Ragon to the bartender. While in the bar, Tekrit, a humanoid bounty hunter, attempted to shoot Fett in the back, but Fett killed him before the humanoid could hit him. After realizing that the bartender could not help him with his research, Fett left the cantina.

Personality and traits

Ragon was a Besalisk characterized by brown skin and eyes. He also sported brown mustaches and a brown beard. Ragon insisted on advance payment for his services, and when Fett was unable to pay, he requested that the bounty hunter kill Lictor out of a desire for revenge. Ragon enjoyed betting on fights, drinking, and socializing. When intoxicated, Ragon openly boasted about his expertise in stabilizing the carbonite matrix, despite the delicate and confidential nature of the task.

Skills and abilities

Ragon possessed the ability to perform surgical procedures and utilized nano-spray paint to mark patients prior to surgery. He was also capable of stabilizing carbonite matrices.

Ragon typically wore a white tanktop, blue trousers, and yellow gloves. He occasionally complemented his attire with blue boots and a beige jacket.
