The Star Fortress that hovered above Nar Shaddaa was just one of a large number of Star Fortresses—possibly numbering in the hundreds—that Emperor Arcann of the Eternal Empire strategically positioned to monitor for potential rebellions across the worlds they had conquered during the Eternal Empire conquest. Exarch Lesin Tyn was in command of this particular fortress, which was defended by numerous Skytroopers and Knights of Zakuul. This Star Fortress was arbitrarily abducting individuals without providing any justification, significantly curtailing the freedom of those living on the Smugglers' moon. In the year 3631 BBY, Veeroa Denz, a former Sith apprentice, joined forces with the Commander of the Anti-Zakuul Alliance with the goal of dismantling the Star Fortress. Together, they formed a strike team that launched an attack on and successfully destroyed the Nar Shaddaa shield bunker that provided protection to the Star Fortress, after which they reconvened at the Alliance base located on Odessen. From that location, Theron Shan and Miot Dengd aided the Commander in their mission to infiltrate the Star Fortress. After battling their way through several levels within the station, the Commander eventually gained access to the Sun Generator room, where they directly confronted the Exarch. During the intense combat that ensued, the Sun Generator's safety mechanisms were deactivated, leading to the death of Exarch Lesin Tyn. The Commander narrowly escaped aboard a shuttle just before the Sun Generator reached critical overload, obliterating the entire Star Fortress and all of the personnel who remained on board. Following this victory, the Hutt Cartel expressed their gratitude to the Commander for their actions, which had once again allowed Nar Shaddaa's thriving markets to be open for business.
