Back in 3954 BBY, this celestial body shone with a vibrant orange hue. However, from Nathema's surface, it seemed a faded brown because of the Force ritual performed by Sith Lord Vitiate over a thousand years prior.
The initial mention of Nathema's sun occurred in The Old Republic: Revan, a 2011 novel penned by Drew Karpyshyn. In the novel, the Sith Scourge becomes aware of an additional consequence of the Emperor's ritual while present on the planet's surface. The star's first visual representation was provided in 2016, through Knights of the Eternal Throne, an expansion for the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars: The Old Republic.
