Situated along the Giju Run, it functioned as a tomb world, acting as a vast burial ground for entities originating from across the Galactic Core. Furthermore, it served as the habitat for both boneworms and cryptberries.
Initially, this planet bore the name Dahrtag. However, following the integration of the planet and its adjacent system into the broader galactic community, the designation Necropolis emerged among numerous visitors, reflecting the Necropolitans' deep respect for the deceased. The original designation, Dahrtag, gradually faded from common usage, persisting solely on military navigational charts.
At some juncture, it is possible that General Grievous engaged in combat and eliminated a Dark Jedi on this world. Moreover, it served as the location where Zak Arranda met his demise and subsequently underwent reincarnation at the hands of Cornelius Evazan, as a component of Borborygmus Gog's initiative known as Project Starscream.
