New Generation Project

The New Generation Project represented a scientific research initiative supported financially by the Mandalorian warrior clans. Its objective was the development of Force-sensitive Mandalorian knights, intended to compete with the warriors of the Jedi Order. Doctor Antos Wyrick was the leader of this Project, which ultimately failed when The Crucible, a slaving syndicate, attacked the New Generation Academy and abducted all of Wyrick's young test subjects.

History

Wyrick established the New Generation Academy to realize his vision of creating Mandalorian knights. He utilized DNA recovered from the garments of the deceased Jedi Master Arca Jeth to produce several children. His intention was to train these children, so they could assist him in a future Mandalorian revolution. Jarael was the first of these children to be created.

The project's demise occurred when the Crucible, a large slaving organization, launched a raid on the academy. The children were taken captive and confined on Osadia by their abductors. Jarael was forced to become a Crucible minder before she eventually managed to escape.

Years later, Wyrick located Jarael and formulated a plan to liberate all his former students from the Crucible. However, Chantique, Wyrick's daughter and a leader within the Crucible, had already murdered the students and buried their bodies in the courtyard. Consumed by rage, Wyrick killed her, but he also perished in the act, thus ending his aspirations of creating Force-sensitive Mandalorian warriors.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the project had never been successful, as none of the children had inherited the strong Force sensitivity of Arca Jeth that Wyrick had hoped they would. Chantique's Force abilities originated from Wyrick's own Force sensitivity, which he had never recognized.
