Ni'Shaw-Dak Ministry

The Ni'Shaw-Dak Ministry functioned as a religious organization within the Jydan faith, practiced by the native Ka'hren people residing on V'shar.

Biography

The central figure of worship in the Ni'Shaw-Dak Ministry was Ni'Shaw, a lesser deity associated with warfare and wisdom, once revered by the ancient Unfyr warriors. However, owing to the Ka'hren's characteristic lack of historical record-keeping, Ni'Shaw was largely forgotten following the Unfyr's decline. At that point in history, Ni'Shaw only had two prophets, instead of the three required to write his teachings in the sacred Jydan Writings, and his laws and ethos in the holy Volumes of Truth.

During the time known as the Rebellion era, the Unfyr warriors and their associated culture were brought back into awareness by Kaltor Naklian, who taught Ka'hren history at the University of Timb. Naklian also rediscovered the forgotten art of rantok construction and usage. Shortly after this, while on an archaeological dig in a cave, Naklian came across the writings of Ni'Shaw's two prophets, as well as a rantok in good condition.

Naklian interpreted this as a sign from Ni'Shaw, indicating that he had been chosen to become the Third Prophet. Naklian subsequently left his position at the university and established the Ni'Shaw-Dak Ministry, serving as its initial high priest. Naklian grounded the teachings of Ni'Shaw-Dak in Jydan principles, while also incorporating beliefs and practices from other ancient Ka'hren tribes.

Naklian's reputation as both a scalp hunter and a Zulirian Swordmaster contributed to the rapid growth of his sect across V'shar, soon amassing a following of over two and a half million individuals, a large percentage of whom were skilled warriors. Given V'shar's system of government, which was a demo-teocracy, Ni'Shaw-Dak quickly gained significant influence over political decisions on V'shar.

The Ni'Shaw-Dak Ministry's organizational structure included a religious head, the Third Prophet (Naklian), who was supported by twelve Al'ma'dens, who were popal priests. Below them, 1,728 shafars, functioning as priests, were distributed across the planet.

Adherents of Ni'Shaw-Dak held the belief that innocent individuals following other religions were destined for damnation, and therefore, killing them was not considered morally wrong.
