The planet Noquivzor presented a visually appealing landscape, characterized by expansive grasslands and yellow and orange savannas. Its environment was arid, featuring broad blue skies and a scarcity of trees. Resemblances could be drawn to the Bothan homeworld of Bothawui, although it shared minimal characteristics with Kashyyyk, the Wookiee homeworld.
Prior to the Indecta Era, Noquivzor became affiliated with the Galactic Republic. During the Alsakan Conflicts, its allegiance was with Alsakan.
This world was essential for the preparation of the New Republic's assaults aimed at Borleias, and subsequently the liberation of Coruscant.
The New Republic Provisional Council convened on this planet before the conquest of Coruscant, a move orchestrated by Councilor Borsk Fey'lya for opportunistic political gains. While officially stationed on the planet, Rogue Squadron was covertly engaged in reconnaissance missions around Coruscant, in preparation for its eventual capture. These rumors prompted Warlord Zsinj to retaliate with the Iron Fist, flattening the base as retribution for the capture of Contruum's Pride and Vengeance Derra IV. It was speculated that General Edor Crespin was among those injured during the assault. Mechanics Zraii and Koyi Komad avoided injury, along with the rest of Rogue Squadron's X-Wings.
Following the bombardment, Admiral Ackbar and Borsk Fey'lya reached a consensus to expedite the conquest of Coruscant, enabling the New Republic to immediately pursue Zsinj and exact retribution.
