When Master Obba was appointed to the Council of First Knowledge, these living spaces were given to him. Obba cultivated a garden inside these rooms, which created an ideal environment for the Ithorian Jedi Master to engage in meditation concerning the Force.
In 980 BBY, Master Obba played host to Princess Serra from Doan, who arrived to negotiate an agreement with the Jedi Order concerning the death of Jedi Knight Medd Tandar, who had previously been Obba's Padawan. The Princess, along with her bodyguard, Lucia, was guided out of the chamber by Obba as they strolled through the rooftop gardens of the Temple Ziggurat. During their conversations, they reached an understanding that the Doan government would be responsible for the investigation and that the Jedi Order would abstain from interference.
Master Obba's living space was situated adjacent to the staircase that encircled the central shaft of the Tower of First Knowledge. The room, which had a solitary window overlooking Coruscant, was adorned with cultivated plants that were arranged along the walls, on the windowsill, and suspended from the ceiling. The Master did not keep any furniture in his room, aside from a basic straw sleeping mat and a watering can for the purpose of caring for his plants.
