Odis, a Human male pilot, resided in the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa during 3951 BBY. Nar Shaddaa is the largest moon orbiting the planet Nal Hutta. This individual was a refugee, displaced due to the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War. When Meetra Surik, a former Jedi Knight, arrived on the moon seeking Jedi Master Zez-Kai Ell, she encountered Odis. He was seeking a piloting opportunity, and the Exile offered her assistance. Ultimately, she persuaded the crew of the starship Lunar Shadow to dismiss their current captain and employ Odis instead.
Odis, a Human male, gained experience as a pilot within the Galactic Republic during the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War. Subsequently, these conflicts forced him to become a refugee, leading him to reside in the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa, the largest moon of the planet Nal Hutta, around the year 3951 BBY.
When Meetra Surik, formerly a Jedi Knight, journeyed to the moon in pursuit of Jedi Master Zez-Kai Ell, she engaged in conversation with Odis. He assessed Surik, remarking that she resembled a spacer, and inquired if she required a crew. He further stated that he had flown during the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War, hoping Surik would bring him on as crew for her ship. Surik asked why he wasn't flying anymore, and Odis explained that he needed a pilot's license to fly freighters on Nar Shaddaa, and that they were hard to get without a sponsor. Surik volunteered to recommend Odis to anyone she met who needed a pilot. Eventually, she successfully convinced the crew of the starship Lunar Shadow – who were tired of waiting for their unreliable captain to return from the Jekk'Jekk Tarr, a cantina located on the Nar Shaddaa Docks – to employ Odis as their new captain and pilot.
Having served as a pilot during the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War, Odis felt disheartened that his service to the Republic had resulted in him becoming a refugee on Nar Shaddaa. Despite this, Odis took pride in his service and held little regard for the opinions of others. He was deeply grateful to anyone who offered assistance. Odis had fair skin, red hair, and green eyes.
Odis made an appearance in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords as a non-player character with whom the player, in the role of the Jedi Exile, could interact. However, interacting with Odis or securing employment for him is not essential for progressing the game's main storyline. The game presents an alternative method for finding Odis work by persuading Fassa, the dock manager working for Vogga the Hutt, to hire Odis. The Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords: Prima Official Game Guide identifies this as the only resolution to Odis's quest. However, because it doesn't yield light side points like the Lunar Shadow outcome, it is not considered the canon result in this article.
