Oh-li was an aged woman living in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. She crafted woven baskets and, together with her sister Jenda, sold fruit and vegetables from a pushcart situated close to Oga's Cantina. Stormtroopers from the First Order tormented the pair, as they were in pursuit of Resistance spy Vi Moradi, who had eliminated one of their own the night before. After a trooper destroyed one of Oh-li's baskets and aimed a blaster directly at Jenda's eyes, interrogating her once more, the sisters shared a glance, and Oh-li subtly shook her head. Moradi appreciated their courage, but when the stormtrooper assaulted Jenda and menaced Oh-li, the spy became concerned for the elderly woman's safety. To safeguard the sisters, Moradi intervened and created a diversion, enabling Oh-li to assist Jenda in fleeing to their dwelling, which resulted in Moradi's capture.
Oh-li possessed watery eyes, freckles across her face, and lacked teeth. She was attired in a long dress and wore inexpensive bracelets fashioned from wire.
