Oga's Cantina, a cantina, could be found in Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, which itself is located in the Outer Rim. More specifically, it was situated close to Smuggler's Alley on Merchant Row. Oga Garra, a Blutopian bartender, was the owner, and RX-24, a pilot droid now known as "R-3X," worked there as a DJ. The bounty hunter Harkos was a known patron. Differing from Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, droids were permitted inside, despite the presence of a droid detector. On one occasion, Kendoh Voss visited the cantina to meet a fortune teller, ultimately encountering Hondo Ohnaka from Ohnaka Transport Solutions.
Located on the Outer Rim planet Batuu, Oga's Cantina was situated within the settlement of Black Spire Outpost, near Smuggler's Alley on Merchant Row. This establishment, managed by the Blutopian crime boss Oga Garra, was renowned as a gathering spot for pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, local residents, and travelers from across the galactic expanse. These individuals frequented the cantina for various purposes: engaging in illicit activities, meeting acquaintances, confronting adversaries, or simply relaxing. Over time, the cantina became known as a favored stop for those seeking to evade the attention of authorities. Even First Order stormtroopers were known to make occasional visits.
The cantina was housed in a circular, domed structure that extended from the side of one of Black Spire's many fossilized trees.
The establishment's menu featured alcoholic drinks, such as Andoan White, Bad Motivator IPA, Bespin Fizz, Bloody Rancor, Dagobah Slug Slinger, Fuzzy Tauntaun, Imperial Guard, Jedi Mind Trick, Jet juice, Spice Runner Hard Cider, T-16 Skyhopper, The Outer Rim, Toniray, White Wampa Ale, and Yub Nub. A selection of non-alcoholic beverages was also available, including Black Spire Brew, Blue Bantha, Carbon Freeze, Cliff Dweller, Hyperdrive (Punch It!), Jabba Juice, and Spiran caf. Moogan Tea could be ordered with or without alcohol. Serving both children and adults, the cantina drew patrons from across the galaxy, eager to experience its famous drinks, crafted with unique ingredients and otherworldly techniques, and presented in distinctive containers.
In addition to beverages, the cantina offered food options for its customers. These included Batuu Bits, Mustafarian Lava Rolls, Oga's Obsession, Rising Moons Overnight Oats, and Rodian Rations. Entertainment was provided by DJ R-3X, who performed music.
Oga's Cantina is a restaurant located within the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge areas of Disney's theme parks. Its design is based upon a sketch by Ralph McQuarrie depicting the inside of Jabba's Palace.
The cantina was initially shown to the public at the D23 Expo in 2017, through a scaled model of the Galaxy's Edge area. A brief glimpse of the cantina's exterior was also included in an update to the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue ride on November 17, 2017. More information was revealed at the Galactic Nights event on December 16 of the same year, via two trading cards providing details about the park's locations and features. The first card's cover revealed that RX-24, from the original Star Tours attraction, had been repurposed as a DJ named "R3X." The second card, part of a map, indicated that the cantina was a local gathering spot near Smuggler's Alley and that one of its drinks was Blurrgfire. The card also featured two Aurebesh phrases along its borders, reading "BLACK WAS THE SPIRE THAT" and "CALLED ME TO STAY."
According to the Walt Disney World News Today fan site, the cantina is a place where visitors can buy drinks, interact with various criminals, bounty hunters, and smugglers, and enjoy live music. Concept art previously released by Disney resembled the card's image of the cantina. The name and further details were announced on August 30, 2018 on the Disney Parks Blog.
