Operation Deluge

Operation Deluge was a clandestine black-ops initiative of the Galactic Republic, conceived by Alderaanian Baron Lemayne during the era of the New Sith Wars. Its objective was to render Sith troopers vulnerable in future conflicts by addicting them to a novel substance known as the Deluge. The operation was masked by the humanitarian organization Grace Command and the ostensibly volunteer Starfighters group, Devil Squadron. As a consequence, entire civilian populations were flooded with the drug, causing widespread instability across planets within the Grumani sector.

Subsequent to the Capture of Devil Squadron, a Hutt crime lord sought to replicate the success of Operation Deluge by creating his own drugs and contaminating food supplies with Deluge. Zodoh aimed to weaken Sith control and establish himself as the supreme ruler of the Grumani sector by affecting every man, woman, and child. However, Captain Jenn Devaad thwarted these ambitions by rigging the Deluge-laden food containers with timed explosives, compounded by Zodoh's death during the Battle of Darkknell. This brought an end to any Hutt aspirations of challenging the Sith's dominance in Sith Space.

Following the events of the Aquilaris campaign, Devaad and Holt devised a plan to disrupt Operation Deluge. Devaad would return to Grace Command and falsely claim that she had been successful in distributing the Deluge on Aquilaris Minor. This ensured that Grace Command would continue to dispatch a transport ship, which Devaad would then pilot to and from Sith-occupied worlds. During these journeys, she would dispose of the Deluge while simultaneously evacuating civilian refugees back to the Republic. Aquilaris, with its underwater Harvester stations, would then serve as a major refuge point for those displaced within the Grumani sector.
