Ownellco

Ownellco, a Lutrillian individual, frequented Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina situated within the Mos Eisley spaceport on the planet of Tatooine during 0 BBY. As [Luke Skywalker](/article/luke_skywalker], the local moisture farmer, entered the cantina accompanied by his droids, specifically R2-D2 and C-3PO, Ownellco was observed standing alongside the Qiraash named Leesub Sirln close to one of the tables. Subsequently, Ownellco traversed the space and took a seat, drink in hand, at a table positioned between two of the cantina's booths, glancing up at Skywalker as he made his way toward the bar.

Later, this Lutrillian exited the cantina, passing by Skywalker and the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi as they hurried through Mos Eisley's streets headed toward Docking Bay 94. Ownellco possessed light-toned skin, brown hair, and black eyes. While present in Mos Eisley, the Lutrillian was attired in a light brown jacket, black trousers, and a cream-colored ascot.

Behind the scenes

Ownellco's character was conceived for the 1977 film that launched the original trilogy, namely Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Stuart Freeborn, the creature designer, crafted a pair of Lutrillian costumes for the movie, drawing inspiration from a costume sketch provided by concept artist John Mollo. Mollo's designation for Ownellco was "Colonel," a name employed during filming.

Within the current Star Wars canon, the character received the designation Ownellco for the first time in Star Wars, Objets du mythe, a 2016 reference book authored by Patrice Girod and Arnaud Grunberg. This name was derived from the original "Colonel" moniker and originated within the Star Wars Legends continuity, initially appearing in "Rogues Gallery: The Unusual Suspects: Who's Who in Mos Eisley," an article penned by Leland Chee and featured in Star Wars Insider 130 on December 13, 2011.
