Paddy Accu was a human of the male persuasion, advanced in years, who resided on the planet in the time leading up to the Clone Wars. His occupation was that of caretaker at Varykino, a secluded island getaway in Naboo's Lake Country owned by the Naberrie family. Following several attempts on her life, Padmé Amidala, the Naberrie family member and senator representing Naboo, went into hiding. Accu then conveyed her and Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi Padawan, to Varykino using a gondola speeder. Having been employed there since Amidala was a child, upon arrival at the villa, he assisted in unloading their luggage from the vessel. Accu possessed light complexion and gray hair.
Paddy Accu's initial introduction to the Star Wars universe was in the Legends novelization of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones by R. A. Salvatore, which hit shelves in 2002, preceding the film's release. He also made a brief appearance in the film itself, portrayed by an uncredited actor. The character's designation as canon was solidified in Ultimate Star Wars, a reference book published in 2015.
