The Rodian Pall Gopal, a spy operating for the Resistance, managed to obtain a crucial parcel intended for their base situated within the Black Spire Ruins located on Batuu, a planet in the Outer Rim. Approximately in 34 ABY, Gopal enlisted the services of Izal Garsea, a smuggler, tasking her with its transportation to Dok-Ondar, the Ithorian Ithorian owner of a shop in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.
When Garsea received the package from Gopal, the silver metal exterior showed noticeable wear and tear, with scuff marks marring its surface, and a keypad protected the contents within. Garsea transported the package around Batuu, storing the medium-sized rectangular briefcase inside of a backpack. During the day while on Batuu, Garsea mistakenly lost track of Gopal's package after she swapped it with a package belonging to her friend Julen Rakab. The two worked together to retrieve the package, which had been delivered to the offices of Ohnaka Transport Solutions, a local shipping company. Following a meeting with Dok-Ondar, Garsea ultimately handed over the package to two Resistance operatives, including Lejo.
