A patrol ship, which can also be called a patrol boat or patrol craft, was a kind of warship that was mainly used for area patrols. Several vessels were categorized this way, including the experimental Galactic Republic IPV-2C Stealth Corvette, the Auzituck anti-slaver gunship, and the Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft. A class of patrol ship was in service with the Chiss Ascendancy. Similarly, Zyzek System Defense forces utilized patrol ships. The Lioaoin Regime also operated patrol craft. Patrol ships belonging to their military were stationed above the Lioaoin heartworld alongside Lioaoin freighters, Lioaoin corsairs, and space stations. Furthermore, certain patrol boats from the Vak Combine functioned as starfighters.
