After one particular shift, the employee Padu Cherd inserted his disc and found that he had been paid only half of what he was owed. When he pleaded with foreman Groff Ditcher for the remainder of his wages, he was intimidated into remaining quiet. Obi-Wan Kenobi, another worker, glared disapprovingly at Ditcher but ultimately took his own payment from the dispenser without voicing any objection.
