Peter Thomas contributed as a designer to the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which BioWare launched in 2003. His writing efforts centered mainly on the characters Canderous Ordo and Juhani, as well as the areas of Dantooine, Manaan, and the Unknown World. He holds Canadian citizenship.
Knights of the Old Republic received recognition for "Excellence in Writing" at the 4th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards, which celebrated the top games of 2003, and specifically named Thomas, David Gaider, Drew Karpyshyn, and Luke Kristjanson as the designers awarded. Karpyshyn expressed his gratitude to Thomas in the acknowledgments of his 2007 book, Darth Bane: Path of Destruction.
