Prophecy of the Three

Finding the way to Lirasan Lira San is located by "The Child"

An ancient Lasat prophecy, referred to as both the Prophecy of the Three and the Chronicles of the Three, told of the rediscovery of Lira San, the original homeworld of the species, following the loss of Lasan, their Outer Rim colony world. The mystic Chava the Wise described the prophecy as being focused on three figures: the Child, the Warrior, and the Fool. The prophecy stated that the Fool would guide the Warrior in the pursuit of the Child, and the Lasat's future would only be secured if the Child saved both the Warrior and the Fool.

Chava presented two possible interpretations of the prophecy. In the first interpretation, the Child, Warrior, and Fool were distinct individuals. In this scenario, Garazeb Orrelios, the former captain of the Lasan High Honor Guard, was identified as the Child, a notion that amused him. Orrelios fulfilled the Child's role by locating Lira San. He achieved this by using his bo-rifle in the traditional manner to pinpoint the planet's location on a map. He then navigated the starship Ghost through a "maze" of collapsed stars, as foretold, which had previously made the planet inaccessible. Agent Alexsandr Kallus of the Imperial Security Bureau, who harbored a long-standing grudge against Orrelios due to his involvement in the Siege of Lasan (a command Kallus falsely claimed to have held to provoke Orrelios), was seen by Chava as the Warrior, whose purpose was to hunt the Child. Kallus, determined to capture the Ghost crew, had pursued them to the star cluster with that intention. However, the identity of the Fool remained a mystery.

Chava's alternative interpretation suggested that a single individual could embody all three roles at different points in their life. She explained that the Fool represented a lack of foresight, while the Child embodied hope for the future. It was the role of the Warrior to realize that future.
