Qel-Droma Epics

The "Qel-Droma Epics" are regarded by many living on Empress Teta (seen in the image) as historically accurate accounts. The narratives known as the Qel-Droma Epics chronicled the Unification Wars, which involved Empress Teta and Jedi Master Odan-Urr. These stories also recounted her defense against the invasion of Empress Teta led by Sith Lord Naga Sadow and his forces during the time of the Great Hyperspace War.

Furthermore, they told of the experiences of Jedi Knight Ulic Qel-Droma, for whom the epics are named. It was believed he went undercover within the Krath during their bloody crusade, an event that resulted in the demise of Ulic's master. The stories continue with his corruption by the dark side alongside the Sith Lord Exar Kun, and eventually, his return to the light.

The use of double-bladed lightsabers is traced back to the time of Exar Kun and is reflected in the Epics. According to historians, these epic poems served to teach young Jedi about the perils of the dark side of the Force. However, many inhabitants of Empress Teta consider these stories to be based on actual historical occurrences. Archaeological attempts to substantiate the legends have been unsuccessful.
