Odan-Urr

Odan-Urr served the Jedi Order as a respected Jedi Master. Among the Jedi who contributed annotations to the sacred Jedi texts, Odan-Urr's work stands out; these texts are relics from millennia preceding the war that pitted the First Order against the Resistance.

A key individual within the celebrated Qel-Droma Epics, Odan-Urr is said to have undergone training on the planet of Ossus under the tutelage of Jedi Master Ooroo, even fighting alongside Empress Teta during the Unification Wars. The epics suggest Odan-Urr was the architect behind both the Great Jedi Library and the Knossa Branch Library on Ossus, dedicating himself to the cataloging and study of ancient relics.

Biography

Jedi scholar

Odan-Urr's presence is a constant throughout the Qel-Droma Epics, tales of a bygone era, long before the time of the Galactic Empire. These legends recount that Odan-Urr received his Jedi training at the Jedi Praxeum situated on the planet Ossus, guided by Jedi Master Ooroo. Ascending to the rank of Jedi Master himself, he stood with Empress Teta in the Unification Wars, a conflict in which Teta seized control of the Koros system and Koros Major, later named in her honor. Amid Empress Teta's reconstruction efforts following the Unification Wars, the Sith Empire launched an invasion, sparking the Great Hyperspace War, during which Ooroo met died.

Furthermore, the Qel-Droma Epics assert that Odan-Urr, fulfilling a vow to his Master, conceived and supervised the construction of the Great Jedi Library atop Ooroo Canyon on Ossus. Within this library, Odan-Urr dedicated himself to cataloging and scrutinizing ancient artifacts within the Chamber of Antiquities, along with translating and digitizing writings. Additionally, Odan-Urr commissioned the Knossa Branch Library in the Ossus city of Knossa, catering to academics and Jedi seeking information for urgent inquiries related to time-sensitive investigations.

As an author, Odan-Urr was among the select members of the Jedi Order who appended notes to the sacred Jedi texts, originating millennia before the war between the First Order and the Resistance. He is also credited with the creation of the modern Jedi Code.

Legacy

In 40 BBY, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, embarked on a mission to Teth with the aim of thwarting Wanbo the Hutt. While reflecting on the Jedi Code, Jinn mused that its author likely never encountered the Hutts.

Personality and traits

The Qel-Droma Epics portray Odan-Urr as a male figure who held knowledge as his highest priority.
