Teth, a planet cloaked in jungle, existed within the uncharted expanse of Wild Space in the galaxy. The B'omarr Order once called this world home. By the time the Clone Wars erupted, their once-grand castles lay deserted, some repurposed by the Hutts into imposing bastions. The surface of Teth held a region of peculiar rock formations, situated a distance away from both the B'omarr monasteries and the Tomb of Ziro the Hutt's father.

This planet, known as Teth, resided within the Teth system, itself situated in the Baxel sector. This sector bridged the Outer Rim Territories and Wild Space, with Teth firmly rooted within the latter, specifically at coordinates U-12 on the Standard Galactic Grid. Lying along the Triellus Trade Route, Teth orbited the single star of its system's and boasted two orbiting moons. Its terrain presented a blend of rocky landscapes and dense jungle, all bathed in hues ranging from deep purple to soft mauve, courtesy of its atmosphere. This atmosphere proved comfortably breathable for Hutts, humans, and a variety of other species.
The trees of the jungles were characterized by their twisting, serpentine trunks, adorned with thick vines that snaked upwards. The dense canopy overhead cast the ground below in a perpetual gloom, filled with the cacophony of countless creatures, further obscured by the ever-present mists that shrouded the world. Where breaks appeared in the canopy, the thick ground would cover thrives as tall rock columns thrusted upward from the lowland jungles. These columns, sculpted over millennia by the forces of wind and water, were capped with flat surfaces, the largest of which hosted their own miniature jungles. The elevated position of these pillar tops made them ideal locations for the individual dwellings of those who called Teth home, offering refuge from the dangers of the lower jungles.
Due to its remote location, Teth received infrequent visitors, a factor contributing to the B'omarr monastic order's decision to establish a secluded monastery there.
Once serving as colonies for the monks of the B'omarr Order, their abandoned monasteries eventually fell under the dominion of the Hutt clans.
In the year 40 BBY, the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi embarked on a mission to Teth. Their objective was to investigate potential involvement of the Hutts in the disappearances of agricultural shipments along the Triellus Trade Route. The mission was complicated by the strained dynamic between Jinn and Kenobi, leading to Kenobi's capture as a hostage. Despite this setback, Jinn successfully deterred the Hutts from further attacks on the shipments, at least for the immediate future.

During the Clone Wars, Count Dooku's assassin, Asajj Ventress, who was a prominent figure in the Separatist movement, delivered Jabba the Hutt's infant son, Rotta, to the deserted B'omarr monastery after abducting him from Tatooine. Several bounty hunters and a pair of ARF troopers, one of whom held the rank of lieutenant, tracked her to the monastery. The bounty hunters met their death, their severed heads returned to Jabba as a grim message. However, the two ARF troopers managed to relay information regarding the kidnapped child's location to Galactic Republic forces before departing unnoticed.
Subsequently, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, along with his Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Torrent Company, spearheaded a mission to liberate the Huttlet from the battle droid battalion guarding the monastery. Ventress then appeared with additional reinforcements, trapping the Jedi and clone troopers within the monastery's walls. Ultimately, Skywalker, Tano, and R2-D2 managed to escape aboard the freighter Twilight, returning Rotta to his father on Tatooine.
Following the end of the Clone Wars, the B'omarr Order monastery on Teth was repurposed by the Clone Underground as a strategic base of operations.
Some time after the Battle of Yavin, Grakkus the Hutt, having been captured by the Alliance to Restore the Republic, found himself aboard the Millennium Falcon. He was being escorted by Han Solo and Chewbacca to a prison on Akiva, where he was to be interrogated to uncover the location of a hidden personal cache of resources valuable to the Rebellion. During a confrontation with the Galactic Empire, Grakkus attempted to escape by seizing Solo by the neck, compelling Chewbacca to set a course for Teth, where Grakkus' secret hideout lay. However, Solo triggered a device implanted on Grakkus before their departure from the rebel fleet, administering an electric shock. The rebels had anticipated Grakkus' escape attempt, and Solo had kept a communication channel open in the event Grakkus revealed the hideout's location. Grakkus was subsequently transported to Akiva, and the rebels journeyed to Teth in search of his hidden resources.
Teth made its debut appearance in the 2008 animated film, Star Wars: The Clone Wars film. While the film correctly identifies Teth's location as Wild Space, the 2015 reference book Ultimate Star Wars erroneously placed the planet within the Outer Rim Territories, a mistake repeated in the 2019 edition, Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition.
