Triellus Trade Route

The Triellus Trade Route, a hyperspace route, connected the celestial bodies of Centares and Enarc. This pathway traversed multiple regions, such as the Mid Rim Territories, the Outer Rim Territories, Wild Space, the Slice, as well as the Trailing Sectors. Several other routes intersected with it, including the Perlemian Trade Route at Centares, the Corellian Run at the planet Arkanis, the Salin Corridor at the planet Sy Myrth, and the Llanic Spice Run at the planet [Llanic], among others.

During the Clone Wars, the Hutt Clan held control over the Triellus Trade Route. This created difficulties for the Separatist Alliance due to their opposition to the Galactic Republic, which the Hutts supported. Additionally, the route played a role within the Spice Triangle, a trade network run by the Pyke Syndicate that linked Tatooine, Ryloth, and Roon. Tryphon Leo, a smuggler, sought to secure this triangle and impose tolls on the Triellus Trade Route's profitable sections, but he met his death before being able to execute his plans.

Description

Expanse

The hyperspace route known as the Triellus Trade Route stretched between the astronomical locations of Centares and Enarc. This route journeyed from the Mid Rim Territories to the Outer Rim Territories and Wild Space, before circling back into the Outer Rim and Mid Rim. It also navigated between the regions referred to as the Slice and the Trailing Sectors. The Triellus Trade Route extended through numerous sectors, notably including the Bheriz sector, Baxel sector, Galov sector, Arkanis sector, and the Savareen sector.

Locations

Originating from Centares in the Mid Rim, the Triellus Trade Route progressed toward Mileva, the homeworld of the Siniteen, before entering the Outer Rim. Subsequently, the route extended to the planets Sy Myrth, Naraka, and Jabiim, along with the celestial objects Taskeed and Dennogra. Following this, it arrived at the Yarma system—encompassing the planet Yarma—and the planet Marleyvane, prior to reaching Junkfort Station and the planets Qhulosk, Alamass, and Kubindi, with the latter situated within the Ku'Bakai system.

The Triellus Trade Route then continued to the astronomical objects Drualkiin and Formos, as well as the planet Eadu inside the Eadu system, prior to arriving at the boundary of Wild Space near Aduba. After this, the route touched Wild Space again, leading to the planet Teth in the Teth system, before reaching the planet Barab I, the celestial body Dubrava, and the moon of Syvris. The Triellus Trade Route proceeded by connecting to the planets Gamorr and Kaddak, the latter found in the Kaddak system, in addition to the astronomical objects Arvina, Molavar, and Roon.

The Triellus Trade Route then made its way to the gas giant where the Cosmatanic Steppes were located, then to the Tatoo system, which contains the planet Tatooine, and the Geonosis system, with the planet Geonosis. The route continued to the planets Arkanis, Yerbana, Nelvaan, and Llanic, encompassing the Arkanis and Llanic systems. After this, the route re-entered the Mid Rim, reaching the astronomical objects Zhar, Farstine, Tovash Tchii, and finally Enarc.

Junctions

Throughout its course, the Triellus Trade Route intersected with numerous other hyperspace routes. At Centares, it converged with the Perlemian Trade Route, a super-hyperroute extending to the Core Worlds. The route also met with the Salin Corridor at Sy Myrth, the Pabol Sleheyron at Formos, and the Manda Merchant Run at Molavar. Further along, the Triellus Trade Route connected with the Cloak of the Sith at Roon, the Mumble's Turnaround at Tatooine, and the Crystal Passage at Geonosis. At Arkanis, it crossed the Corellian Run, another super-hyperroute reaching into the Core Worlds. Finally, at Llanic, the route intersected with the Llanic Spice Run.

History

The Triellus Trade Route formed part of the Spice Triangle trade network

During the Clone Wars era, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance, the Hutt Clan exerted dominion over the Triellus Trade Route. Given the Hutts' allegiance to the Republic during these conflicts, the Separatists found themselves unable to utilize the route for connecting their territories, rendering them particularly susceptible to sieges. At some point before the Galactic Empire rose to power, a trade network known as the Spice Triangle emerged, comprising Tatooine, Roon, and the planet Ryloth. This triangle was controlled by the Pyke Syndicate as they began challenging Hutt territory. The Triellus Trade Route, the Cloak of the Sith, and the Corellian Run linked these three worlds. Specifically, the Triellus Trade Route facilitated the journey between Roon and Tatooine within the triangle.

Around 10 BBY, Tryphon Leo, a Volpai smuggler, pilfered a book from Maz Kanata, a former pirate Queen, known as the Smuggler's Guide. This book contained information on trade routes, shadowports, criminal contacts, and the locations of her hidden treasure caches. Using the book, Leo planned to plunder one of these caches and establish a trade network using the wealth, which involved securing trade throughout the Spice Triangle. This plan included imposing tolls on the lucrative sections of the Triellus Trade Route, with Leo believing that a fleet of starships and the bribery of influential figures would enable him to implement these changes. However, the smuggler's schemes were thwarted when he was crushed by a boulder while attempting to reach the first cache.

Behind the scenes
