Cosmatanic Steppes gas giant

A gas giant existed within the Outer Rim Territories and the Slice, specifically in grid square R-16 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This planet, a gas giant, was linked to Molavar and Tatooine via the Triellus Trade Route hyperspace route. This system contained a minimum of three stars, and the habitable mantle layer known as the Cosmatanic Steppes floated above the world.

Due to the characteristics of the Cosmatanic Steppes, it became a focal point for numerous archaeological expeditions during the historical art rush. Archaeologists were trying to understand how the formation came to be and where it originated. While present on the Steppes in 0 ABY, which was at least one hundred years after the beginning of the historical art rush, the archaeologist Doctor Chelli Aphra described the Steppes, the gas giant, and the ongoing archaeological work to the assassin droid 0-0-0.
