Gamorr

Gamorr was a verdant planet situated in the Galov sector within the Outer Rim Territories. It was positioned in proximity to Hutt Space and along the Triellus Trade Route. This world served as the homeworld for the Gamorreans, a sentient species of porcine beings. These Gamorreans engaged in the practice of clearing forests by felling trees to create space for farming activities.

This planet was located to the galactic east of Kupoh. Not long after the Battle of Yavin, Drusil Bephorin, a Givin, needed to flee Kupoh with Alliance to Restore the Republic operatives Luke Skywalker and Nakari Kelen. She suggested a journey eastward. This prompted Skywalker to wonder if she was using the distant Gamorr as a navigational reference. Bephorin was actually using the position of a theoretical star, whose existence she had calculated, as her navigational aid.

Behind the scenes

The first mention of Gamorr in the current Star Wars canon occurred in the 2015 novel Heir to the Jedi by Del Rey, authored by Kevin Hearne. The planet Gamorr was originally presented within the Star Wars Legends continuity in The Star Wars Sourcebook, a 1987 resource created by Bill Slavicsek and Curtis Smith for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
